Compatibility and fit notes for rear-side front mount

This BD-301FR component is an RC-scale front suspension arm mount designed for the rear side of the front suspension assembly and meant for use on Yokomo BD7 and BD5 touring-car chassis. The unit is produced in blue anodised aluminium to give a firm mounting location for the suspension arm pins while remaining specific to RC applications.

Functionally, the mount secures the outer end of the front suspension arm and contributes to front suspension geometry. The left-to-right spacing between the suspension arm pins is 43.5mm; confirming that distance during fitment avoids misalignment with hub carriers and steering linkages.

Fitting advice: ensure the 43.5mm pin pitch corresponds with your chassis before installing, retain original hardware when your chassis manual suggests, and verify smooth articulation after tightening. During setup changes, this mount will influence roll centre and track width relationships and is used when adjusting front-end balance and steering feedback.

Compatibility

  • BD7
  • BD5

This mount is intended for use with Yokomo BD7 and BD5 chassis; verify the 43.5mm arm pin pitch on your specific chassis to confirm correct fitment.
The specified 43.5mm refers to the left-to-right spacing between the suspension arm pin centres. Check the measurement on your chassis with any bushings or spacers installed as they affect final alignment.
Possibly. Changing the arm mount can alter roll centre and track width, so review other setup settings such as camber, toe and spring rates after fitting to re-balance handling.
