Steel drive cup replacement tailored to BD5/BD7 differentials

The BD-501GS is a replacement steel drive cup intended for BD5/BD7 series gear differential units. It transfers torque from the differential output to the drive shaft and is specified as a direct-fit spare for the compatible chassis models shown below.

Replace worn drive cups to eliminate play or inconsistent engagement during operation. The steel construction is chosen for improved resistance to wear versus softer materials and is suitable for RC-scale gear differential applications.

Fitting the part will typically require removing the differential from the chassis, separating the differential case if applicable, and sliding the drive cup onto the output shaft per the differential manufacturer's service instructions. Inspect runout and fit, then reassemble and test the unit under low load before regular running.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Consult the compatibility list above; the BD7 family variants shown are the intended fitment targets for the BD-501GS drive cup.
Switching to a steel drive cup mainly affects wear characteristics and long-term engagement consistency. It does not alter differential geometry but can reduce play caused by worn components.
After installation, check axial and radial alignment, confirm secure seating on the output shaft, then reassemble and run a careful low-load test to ensure smooth operation.
