Is the thin collar robust enough for frequent track use?

The collar is a compact spacer intended to maintain O-ring position and preload. Under normal use it will hold position; longevity will depend on handling and maintenance of the shock assembly rather than the collar alone.

Can the collar be used to adjust ride height?

Indirectly. By changing the O-ring stack spacing, the collar helps set the initial damper preload and therefore can influence ride-height baseline, but fine ride-height tuning may still require other setup changes.
