Precision spur adapter for drift chassis

The Yokomo D-024A spur gear adapter is engineered to cut rotating mass in the drivetrain while providing a clean blue anodized aluminium finish for drift models. Lowering inertia on the spur side can lead to snappier throttle response and a keener transient feel when fine tuning drift throttle behavior.

Designed as a cosmetic and mass-saving upgrade for the compatible DP-series and MRTC chassis listed below, the adapter installs with routine spur area disassembly and standard small drivers. It ships with the appropriate screws to match the mounting pattern so you can reinstall the spur assembly without sourcing additional fasteners.

Can I expect perfect fitment on all listed DP and MRTC models?

The adapter is manufactured to the mounting patterns used on the listed DP-series and MRTC chassis and includes the matching screws, so it should fit those models directly. Always verify mounting alignment during installation.

What simple tools make installation easier?

Small drivers are sufficient: a 3mm driver for the pan head screws and a 3mm hex or set driver for the 3 x 4mm set screw. Remove the spur gear assembly as usual to fit the adapter.

Should I change setup after fitting to the D-024A?

Because the adapter reduces rotating mass, you may notice a sharper throttle response and could refine throttle mapping or punch settings to suit the altered transient behavior.
