Installation Guidance

This RC-grade aluminum front upper A arm has been produced for use in Yokomo Drift Package arrangements and fits into the aluminum upper A-arm assembly. The D-141 left and right arms are finished in blue alumite and are intended for front suspension mounting on drift cars.

Use the arm together with the aluminum upper A-arm rod end adapters called out in the original parts list. As an alloy alternative to the standard arm, it will change the stiffness and wear traits of the upper link, so adjust camber and steering geometry accordingly when tuning for drift handling.

To install, follow normal upper A-arm replacement steps: remove the factory part, install the D-141 using the specified hardware and ball ends from your drift package, then check wheel alignment and confirm full suspension movement to prevent binding.

In most cases you can reuse the drift package ball ends and hardware specified in the original parts list. Fitment requires the matching aluminum rod end adapters for correct geometry.
The alloy arm typically increases front-end stiffness, which can tighten steering response and alter wear on pivot points. Rebalance camber and toe to achieve the desired drift characteristics.
After fitting, cycle the suspension through its full range to confirm there is no binding, then perform a wheel alignment check and a short test run to validate handling before full sessions.
