Yokomo DPP-302V4RB: Steering Gyro Designed for Drift Precision

The Yokomo DPP-302V4RB Racing Performer V4 Steering Gyro is purpose-built for drifting, offering a quad system that lets drivers select the behaviour that matches their style. The anodized aluminium enclosure with gold-edged detailing provides a neat, durable unit for any drift build.

How the Quad System Shapes Handling

The gyro includes Dual Gain Mode and Dual Gain Control so you can tailor steering correction. Dual Gain Mode switches between ASSIST, which steadies the car for less experienced drivers, and NOR, which reduces intervention for skilled pilots seeking direct feel.

Dual Gain Control spans 0 to 100 and features SOFT and HARD settings. SOFT eases initial gyro response for smooth slides on tile or carpet, while HARD sharpens reaction for larger events or quicker steering feedback.

Case Design and Servo Notes

The slim case improves switch visibility and makes installation neater. This model is designed for digital servos only; analogue units may not match performance. It supports both 2-channel and 3-channel configurations to suit different radio setups.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It will work with most digital servos, but analogue servos may not provide the same level of control. Check servo specs for compatibility with gyro response times.
SOFT reduces the initial correction so slides start smoother, making it easier to maintain a drift on slick surfaces. HARD gives more immediate steering correction for energetic inputs and larger tracks.
The compact case and standard wiring make it straightforward to transfer between compatible cars, though you should recheck settings and mounting for each chassis.
Using ASSIST mode and appropriate gain values can help control oversteer while you learn drift lines and throttle control, improving consistency in practice.
Outdoor asphalt typically needs higher gain and possibly HARD mode for quicker response, but always test incrementally to avoid oscillation.
