Mounting and Function

This GT1-22M unit is an RC-scale bumper and body mount seesaw engineered for the Yokomo GT1-01 family of touring car chassis. It provides a small, controlled pivot between the shell and bumper mounts to dull minor knocks and preserve correct body alignment during driving and setup changes.

Fitting is intended to be user-friendly for those experienced with GT1-01 maintenance: the part replaces the factory bumper mount and utilises the chassis' existing mounting locations, allowing setups to be reversed if required. Recheck body ride height and wheel clearance after installation and make measured adjustments to avoid interference with steering parts.

From a tuning perspective the seesaw helps restrain excessive shell movement and offers an option to tune how the body reacts to chassis roll and pitch. Using different bushing stiffness at the mount produces noticeable differences in load transfer, aiding setup balance between cornering performance and straight-line stability.
