Shock seal set for precise damping upkeep

The Yokomo YOKR12-18O contains six O rings purpose-made for YOKOMO R12 dampers to support routine maintenance and reliable sealing. These seals help ensure damper oil stays contained and air ingress is minimised.

Replacement is carried out by removing the damper cap and piston, replacing the worn O ring at the shaft or cap seat, then rebuilding with the correct shock oil and piston orientation. Avoid contaminants and check seating to prevent nicks that cause leaks.

Although O rings do not alter valving, maintaining effective seals is essential for repeatable damping behaviour during setup and tuning. Regular seal checks keep damping predictable and simplify tuning work.
