Rear Coil for Pitching Dampers

The Yokomo R12-18RSSH is a copper, super hard rear shock spring intended for the pitching damper on R12 and GT series 1/10 scale RC cars. It serves as a tuning component to stiffen the suspension top end and refine damper response without internal shock modification.

Fitment and function: this spring is used to raise rear spring rate where reduced pitch and improved stability are required during firm acceleration or braking. It is a direct replacement for models sharing the R12/GT shock mounting and geometry.

Installation notes: install as a conventional rear spring, set preload appropriately and ensure full travel clearance. After fitting, fine tune damping and rebound to prevent an underdamped setup and to keep traction predictable across surfaces.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Any chassis that match the R12/GT shock geometry and mounting dimensions listed above should accept this spring as a direct replacement.
If damping and rebound are not adjusted after fitting, the car can feel underdamped. Proper tuning of the shocks will stabilise handling and preserve traction.
Verify spring seating, travel clearance and ride height. Reassess damper settings and test incrementally to find the best balance for your track.
