Progressive spring for competitive touring cars

The RP-077 from Yokomo is a progressive-rate shock spring intended for 1/10 on-road touring car dampers. Its variable coil pitch provides a gentle initial rate that increases as the spring compresses, giving a balance between compliance over small bumps and stronger support at high compression.

Springs come in a black finish with the hardness lasered on the end for quick rate checks. A protective plastic case is supplied to keep the springs safe between sessions.

Fitting follows normal practice: place the spring inside the damper, adjust preload to suit, re-check damper travel after installation, and assess handling over several laps to confirm the effect on the chassis balance.
