The Yokomo S4-S17213 offers a practical way to adjust suspension behaviour on 13mm shocks. Its dual 1.7mm holes and solid 2.0mm construction deliver repeatable oil flow characteristics for lap-to-lap consistency.

Works with SOR-020 and SOR-020D Platforms

Designed to fit SOR-020 and SOR-020D shock assemblies, this piston lets you test subtle valving changes without modifying cores. It is a useful part for setup sessions and race day fine-tuning.

Does this piston need trimming to fit SOR-020

No trimming is normally required for SOR-020 and SOR-020D shocks; the piston is sized for direct replacement in those assemblies.

How does the 2.0mm thickness affect valving

The 2.0mm plate gives stable sealing and reduces flex, so flow is defined by the 1.7mm ports rather than piston distortion under load.

When should pistons be inspected or replaced

Inspect pistons during routine shock service. Replace them if ports are worn or if you see scoring on the piston face that could compromise oil flow.
