Rear gearbox input shaft in hard-coat aluminium

This aluminium rear input shaft links the rear gearbox to the centre shaft on Yokomo DRIFT PACKAGE chassis. Designed for scale RC drift cars, the component reduces rotating mass within the drivetrain, sharpening throttle feel without altering gearbox alignment.

The shaft is produced from lightweight aluminium and treated with a hard coat to minimise wear at contact points. The kit includes the shaft plus the required small fasteners and pins so it can be used as a replacement or spare for the DP-series rear gearboxes listed below.

Fitting guidance: confirm gearbox and centre shaft alignment before final tightening, ensure set screws and cross pins are correctly seated, and place the O-ring as specified by the gearbox assembly to maintain correct clearance. Standard hex drivers and pliers are adequate for installation.

After positioning the shaft, visually check that cross pins sit flush in their bores and that the 3x4 set screw is tightened to secure the gear without over-torquing. Rotate the assembly by hand to confirm smooth engagement before final running.
