Replacement main shaft for RC drift models

This SD-644SA main drive shaft from Yokomo is supplied as a single aluminium unit and serves as a replacement part for the Drift Package / Drift Racer series. It restores drivetrain function on compatible DP and MRTC chassis where the original shaft has worn or been damaged.

The shaft transmits power from the gearbox output to the final drive. When installing, confirm spline engagement, check that bearings are correctly seated, and turn the drivetrain by hand after fitting to verify smooth rotation. Use the original retaining parts where appropriate and do not force components that resist seating.

Inspect the original shaft to confirm spline profile and count, and compare the retention method such as screw or clip type. The SD-644SA is intended for the listed DP and MRTC models but checking these details before fitting is advised.

If the shaft does not seat easily, what should I do?

Do not force the shaft. Remove it and check for debris, damaged splines, or misaligned bearings. Address the root cause before attempting refitment to avoid further damage.
