D-Max Slipper Pad Details

This is a pair of slipper pads supplied as D-MAX standard parts for RC use, sold as 2 pcs. They function as direct replacement parts for the slipper assembly on compatible D-Max kits, providing the friction surface that governs engagement and slip behaviour.

Each pad has two faces with different mating roles; correct orientation during installation is important. One face interfaces with the slipper hub and the other with the clutch shoe, so fit them in the same orientation as the originals to avoid altering slip feel or accelerating wear.

Installation guidance: disassemble the slipper, inspect clutch shoes and mating surfaces for wear, install the two pads matching original orientation, then reassemble and set and check slipper preload and engagement. Make small, progressive adjustments to slipper tension while testing to find the desired launch and traction balance.

Setup role: these pads provide incremental control over initial bite and slip progression without changing springs or primary hardware, making them a practical option for nuanced tuning between sessions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes, these pads are supplied as standard parts for D-Max kits and are intended to fit the slipper assembly used with those chassis.
Replace pads when you notice degraded engagement, uneven wear, or if performance changes despite proper adjustment; frequency depends on track conditions and driving style.
Yes, pad material and orientation influence how load is transferred to clutch shoes and hub, which can affect wear patterns on those parts over time.
