Upper shock mount towers for YD-2S chassis

The Yokomo Y2-017SA front and rear shock towers are plastic replacement parts made for the YD-2S drift chassis. They are intended to secure upper shock mounts and distribute suspension loads into the main chassis rails.

Installation notes: these towers attach at the original YD-2S mounting positions and swap in for the factory pieces without the need to modify the shock absorbers. After fitting, verify shock shaft alignment and torque the mounting screws to match stock settings. Ensure full travel clearance so the shock shafts do not bind on the tower edges.

Tuning role: altering the upper anchor points with these towers will influence camber change and roll centre height, offering a straightforward method to change roll and pitch characteristics during handling adjustments.

Compatibility: Supported Chassis DP-YD2S / DP-YD2SG / DP-YD2S-PL / DP-YD2SS / DP-YD2SX / DP-YD2SX2 / DP-YD2SX2R / DP-YD2SX2P / DP-YD2SX3 / DP-YD2SX3R / DP-YD2SX3P / DP-YD2RX / DP-YD2RXR / DP-YD2RXP / DP-YD2RXTB / DP-YD2RXTP / DP-YD2RXTR.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are designed for the YD-2S family models in the compatibility list and should align with the factory tower mounting points across those variants. Confirm fit on your specific variant before final tightening.
The most common checks are shock shaft alignment and ensuring no rubbing at full compression. Also ensure screws are not over-tightened, which can distort the plastic mount.
In most cases no additional parts are required; the towers are intended to replace the originals. After installation, re-evaluate setup items like shock position and spring choice to suit the new anchor geometry.
