This RC-scale slide rack assembly is formed from black anodised aluminium for the integrated bulkhead and slide rail, with machining to shave weight from the front section. The lighter rail and a stiffer bulkhead change front-end behaviour to produce a shorter steering response suited to drifting.
Fitted to resin chassis the stiffer bulkhead raises local front rigidity and reduces the chance of the front tyre grabbing at corner entry, making initial turn-in more predictable. The rack is set with a forward tilt to yield an Ackermann-like steering relation tailored to drift driving, enabling steadier angle changes while sliding.
Installation follows the standard DP-series and YD2 replacement steps, swapping in for the stock front bulkhead and slide rail. For setup, adjust small amounts of toe and caster after fitting to restore steering balance, as the increased stiffness will alter front-end feedback.
Use the Y2-202SLB if you need a firmer front bulkhead and a rack geometry weighted toward drift steering; the alloy construction pares down weight while boosting rigidity to make turn-in and mid-corner behaviour more consistent for drift cars.
