Rear Spring Technical Summary

The Yokomo YAS-1000A is a big bore rear shock spring developed for high-traction artificial surfaces like carpet and astro turf. Its shorter overall length lowers ride height while aiming to preserve jump control and cornering stability.

On carpet and turf the spring smooths landing transitions, decreases the chance of the chassis catching the surface in tight turns, and helps limit high-side roll tendencies. It is supplied for use in rear shock setups that accommodate big bore springs.

Setup tips: confirm spring compatibility with your shock’s inner/outer diameters and seat design, then adjust preload and damping stepwise to suit the reduced ride height. Always test changes incrementally to balance cornering grip against landing softness. This item is an RC accessory only.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Check the shock's inner and outer diameters and visually confirm the spring seat style matches. Fit the spring loosely first and cycle the shock to ensure correct alignment before finalising fitment.
Lowering ride height shifts weight distribution slightly and can quicken turn-in; adjust damping and anti-roll settings as needed to maintain balance between corner grip and jump compliance.
It is optimised for high-grip artificial surfaces. On loose or low-grip surfaces you may find different spring rates and lengths are preferable to achieve the desired handling characteristics.
