Yokomo YAU-6801A Carpet Racing Performance

For club and competitive carpet racing, the Yokomo YAU-6801A offers a narrow profile and a cut-stagger design suited to 1/10 scale off-road cars. The pre-glued finish reduces setup time so you can concentrate on car setup and lap consistency.

Carpet-Tuned Compound and Profile

The combination of compound and staggered cuts on the Yokomo YAU-6801A delivers predictable grip through corner exits and improved steering precision. These tyres are intended to maintain traction on typical indoor carpet surfaces.

Fitting Notes for Best Results

Expect to trim the inner rim flange on many wheel types to accept the slim tyre. After fitting, inspect for even seating and, if necessary, rebalance to eliminate wobble at speed.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are tailored for carpet rounds within off-road competitions. For outdoor rough surfaces choose a tread designed for loose terrain.
Fit the tyre dry first and rotate the wheel on your hand to look for rubbing at the inner flange. If the tyre does not sit flush, trim a small amount and recheck until it sits evenly.
Pre-glued tyres make swaps straightforward but ensure wheel compatibility and that the tyre is not overstressed when moved between different rim profiles.
Keep tyres free of sticky contaminants, check glue seams regularly, and replace when tread wear or compound glazing reduces grip.
A low-profile foam can stabilise tyre shape and help consistency, but choose insert firmness to match your car's weight and driving style.
