Compatibility and Setup Guidance

The Yokomo YOKR12-37SS X Shock Soft Spring is designed for 1/10 scale electric touring and on-road models, giving a softer alternative to medium or hard springs to aid grip on lower-traction surfaces. It works as part of an iterative setup process to adjust handling characteristics.

In practice the soft spring alters ride height, weight transfer and transient response without changing internal shock components. Installers commonly fit these springs into their existing shock bodies and run the same oil and pistons to establish a baseline comparison. Since preload and spring rate interact, expect to tweak collars or spacers to correct ride height after swapping springs.

Fitment aims to be widely compatible: the spring suits common shock assemblies that accept standard-length coil springs. Measure shock stroke and retainer clearances prior to extended testing. Use these springs as part of step-by-step setup adjustments, noting changes to steering response and mid-corner grip.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Mixing softer springs front or rear will shift balance; a softer front increases mechanical bite but can reduce turn-in precision. Make one change at a time and record handling differences.
Adjust preload collars or add spacers to reclaim the intended ride height. Check static ride height and then perform a few runs to confirm the dynamic ride height is acceptable for your setup.
They are designed for common shock assemblies that accept standard-length coil springs, but always verify internal travel and retainer positions to avoid binding or excessive preload.
