Technical notes for 48 pitch gears

This spur gear is intended for RC-scale 48 pitch gear trains and functions as a replacement component for standard 48-pitch drivetrains. It is used within model gearboxes and drivetrains when altering gear ratios or renewing worn items in electric or nitro vehicles.

Fitment requires a matching 48 pitch pinion to secure correct tooth engagement. Set mesh carefully: establish a nominal backlash, rotate the drivetrain manually to confirm smooth interaction, then secure all fixings and verify again after a short running period. Avoid forcing gear engagement and check alignment after initial operation.
