This small rubber O-ring serves as a down stop in RC damper and shock assemblies, offering a consistent cushion at the end of compression travel. It is an accessory intended to work where an O-ring style stop is required to limit or soften piston or shaft bottoming.
Installation is straightforward on many shock designs: place the O-ring on the shock shaft or on the lower seating area in line with your damper layout, then cycle the shock to confirm the desired down-stop effect. Since shock designs differ, verify fit with your shaft diameter and available clearance before final fitting.
For tuning, the O-ring reduces harsh bottoming and allows small, precise changes to rebound and compression feel when used in conjunction with spring and oil adjustments. Check and replace the ring if you notice cracking, distortion, or permanent flattening to keep damping consistent.
