The Yokomo YOKYX40SO silicon O-ring is supplied as an RC-scale replacement for pitching dampers referenced to YRX 12. Its silicone construction provides low friction and resistance to common shock fluids, helping to retain oil and maintain steady damping behaviour.

Fitting is routine for anyone who services shocks: disassemble the pitching damper, inspect and clean the seal seat, then fit the replacement O-ring in the correct orientation. Refill with your chosen shock oil and reassemble to the chassis routine. The component's purpose is to maintain internal sealing and reduce leakage to stabilise pitching response, not to alter spring or valving settings.

Useful for regular maintenance and small setup changes on 1/10 scale touring cars where pitching dampers are used to refine body pitch and traction transitions. Supplied as a spare for repairs or preventive replacement when original seals degrade.
