Product Details and Fit

The Yokomo YS-1480 HSS Long Shock Spring is built as an RC replacement spring to be used inside standard shock bodies, allowing tuners to change the spring rate and ride characteristics. The orange HSS finish identifies the product series and is offered for hobby tuning tasks.

Mechanically the spring mounts over the shock shaft inside the shock body and directly alters compression and rebound behavior. It provides a direct way to alter suspension stiffness without immediately modifying internal damper components.

Fitting is straightforward for those experienced with threaded shocks: remove the shock cap, take out the old spring, install the YS-1480 and reassemble. Once fitted, check preload and ride height, then perform a short evaluation run to ensure expected handling.

Tuning guidance: expect subtle changes in cornering balance and mid-stroke support when altering spring length or rate. Combine spring swaps with oil changes or collar adjustments for a balanced result.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Verify the spring length and inner diameter against your shock assembly and compare the end seating style. If dimensions match typical threaded shock cartridges, the spring should seat correctly.
It is an aftermarket replacement intended for tuning. It can replace stock springs where fitment and mounting style are compatible, but it is not an OEM part from the original vehicle maker.
Clean the spring and check for secure seating after runs in dirt or wet conditions. Regular inspection for surface wear and correct installation will help avoid handling issues.
