This item is an RC front shock body intended for use as a direct replacement or spare in front damper assemblies on off-road models. The component houses the internal shock elements and determines oil capacity and maximum travel for the front end.

Installing the part follows standard damper procedures: remove the damper oil, extract the shock shaft and internals, take out the old body, and install the YS-4S-8 body before rebuilding. Ensure seals are correctly seated and the shaft runs true when reassembling to avoid leaks and binding.

In setup work the shock body changes the effective oil volume and stroke limit, so swapping bodies will alter damping response. Use compatible pistons, springs, and oil grades together to reach the front-end balance you want on varying surfaces.
