Is the anodised finish hard enough for salt spray environments?

Anodising increases surface hardness and gives some corrosion resistance, but for saltwater exposure rinse and dry parts after use and inspect regularly to prevent corrosion.

Will these reduce play in worn shock tops?

They can reduce movement at the top contact point compared with softer materials, but if the shock body or piston is worn you may need additional replacement parts to fully remove play.

Should I change my shock oil when fitting these?

Changing oil is not mandatory when fitting cap balls, but it is a good time to service the shocks and check seals to ensure the new parts operate without binding or leaks.
