Internal Mesh Reinforcement for RC Shells

The Yokomo YT-GMTA Body Protective Tape supplies a strip of glass mesh for reinforcing the inner face of RC bodies. With a 50mm width and 2000mm length, the roll is handy for fixing small faults and beefing up vulnerable sections.

Step by Step: Prepare, Apply, Cure

Peel and stick the adhesive backed mesh to the inside of the shell after cleaning the surface and trimming the tape to fit. For maximum stiffness, spread a reinforcing adhesive such as Shoe Goo over the mesh so it cures to a rigid patch.

Where This Tape Works Best

Use it on touring cars, 1/10 off road bodies and other shells where repeated contact causes wear. It is an efficient way to repair hairline cracks and reinforce razor thin panels without rebuilding the entire body.
