The Yokomo ZR-DRTA Tire Mounting Tape is made to improve the fitment of solid competition resin drift tyres, including the DRA and DRC ranges, onto RC wheels. The tape uses a slightly firm sponge about 2.5mm thick to create a reliable contact surface.

Mounting Advice for Tapered Bores

DRA and DRC tyres often have a tapered inner bore that can complicate mounting. The ZR-DRTA tape addresses this by filling the gap. Peel off the backing and adhere the tape to the wheel, then fit the tyre from the side with the larger inner diameter to ease installation.

Securing Tyres for Consistent Handling

To keep tyres from coming loose during heavy driving, apply an instant adhesive at several places between the tyre and wheel. Using modest amounts in multiple locations will strengthen retention while maintaining balance.
