To fit the unit follow the engine maker's service procedure to access the crankcase, remove the worn disc valve, inspect contact surfaces for damage, and install the replacement in the correct orientation, torquing retainers to spec. Only apply threadlocker or change gaskets if the engine documentation requires it.

A correctly fitted disc valve can recover idle stability and improve throttle transitions. After fitting carry out a measured break-in and then verify needle settings and mixture across the throttle range prior to full operation.
