The YS Engine YSS2026 is a throttle barrel retainer screw intended for 56SR throttle barrels, designed to eliminate axial play so the barrel maintains consistent alignment and rotation during idle and throttle transitions.
Fitment is signposted by the 56SR marking in the name; use this retainer where replacement parts specify 56SR compatibility. It is not a universal part for differing carburettor designs unless the model code matches.
Installation is a simple maintenance task: remove the barrel, locate it in the correct orientation, and thread the retainer screw until it secures the barrel without stopping its free rotation. Check movement through the full throttle range and avoid over-torquing which can harm threads or impede rotation.
As part of setup and service, the retainer removes unwanted barrel movement that can destabilize idle and throttle control. It is a mechanical replacement only and does not change carburettor calibration on its own.
