Product brief — GT500 tyre setter

The Yokomo YT-TSG functions as a tyre setter hub tailored for sponge tyre truing within Yokomo's workflow. It provides the rear mounting face for wheels and sponge tyres and can be converted to accept front wheels using the appropriate adapter.

Used with a Yokomo Tire Truer, the YT-TSG maintains wheel concentricity during trimming and finishing operations, helping to reduce bench time. The hub's rear-base profile is compatible with standard Yokomo GT-series wheel interfaces, simplifying wheel-to-wheel changes.

Installation is simple: fix the hub to the truer spindle as the rear hub, mount the wheel or sponge tyre on the hub face, and add the front adapter when front-wheel truing is required. This single-base approach avoids the need for duplicate base units.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Remove the hub from the truer spindle, fit the front-specific adapter onto the hub face, and remount the assembly. The adapter alters the interface so front wheels can be held for truing.
The hub is optimised for Yokomo GT-series patterns listed above. Non-Yokomo wheels may fit if their mounting pattern matches one of these patterns, but fit should be checked before use.
Mount the tyre securely on the hub, spin on the truer while trimming progressively, and verify concentricity after each pass. Using the YT-TSG as the stable rear base helps maintain alignment throughout the process.
