The YOKYX40S piston and shaft set is offered by Yokomo as a replacement for YRX-12 pitching dampers. It is designed to renew worn internal parts so the damper delivers predictable stroke behavior and stable response during acceleration and braking on the track.

To install: remove the pitching damper from your chassis, disassemble the damping unit according to the chassis service instructions, replace the shaft and piston, then reassemble using your current seals and damper oil. Always keep components clean and check that the piston moves freely before refitting the damper to the vehicle.

This replacement affects hydraulic flow rather than spring rate. Changing the shaft or piston will modify mid-stroke damping characteristics; to maintain your tuned setup, select a piston with the same hole count and use the same oil viscosity as before.
